June Performances in Germany & the UK


This June, Alisa Weilerstein performs across Germany and the UK.

On June 2, Alisa first performs in her city of Berlin, playing Shostakovich’s First Cello Concerto with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and conductor Tomáš Hanus. She then presents the composer’s Second Cello Concerto on June 13, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Ilan Volkov.

From June 20-22, Alisa joins the Munich Philharmonic for the Elgar Cello Concerto in E minor. François-Xavier Roth conducts.

On June 28, Alisa performs in an orchestral version of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor, joined by Guy Braunstein on violin. Alisa’s husband Rafael Payare conducts the Symphoniker Hamburg.

The next day [June 29] at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Alisa joins an evening of star-studded chamber music featuring Braunstein, Martha Argerich, Evgeni Bozhanov, Dong-Hyek Lim, and Akane Sakai. Alisa appears for Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67 and Kodály’s Duo for violin and cello.
