Celebrated as one of the greatest composers of Western music, Johann Sebastian Bach produced a vast body of sublime masterworks including the St. Matthew Passion, B-minor Mass, Goldberg Variations, Brandenburg Concerti, Christmas Oratorio, Cantatas, and the beloved Cello Suites . An accomplished organist, harpsichordist, violist, and violinist, Bach was born in Eisenach Germany, into a musical family, the youngest of eight children. 

His influence on music is captured succinctly in the words of Johannes Brahms: “Study Bach.  There you will find everything.”
