On the heels of her world premiere performances of Pascal Dusapin’s Outscape with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Alisa returns to Germany for the concerto’s European premiere with the Staatsorchester Stuttgart and conductor Markus Stenz on Sunday, June 19 and Monday, June 20.

“If the Chicago Symphony Orchestra must be reduced to playing only one world premiere this season, let it be a new work as absorbing and important as French composer Pascal Dusapin’s cello concerto, Outscape. The CSO commissioned the piece for the extraordinary cellist Alisa Weilerstein, who gave it the kind of debut most composers can only dream of achieving,” wrote the Chicago Tribune.

The Staatsorchester Stuttgart — which co-commissioned the concerto — also performs Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4. Find tickets and more information here.
