United States Summer Festival Appearances at Ravinia, Grant Park, and Aspen
Following concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Alisa Weilerstein travels to the United States this July for appearances at a trio of music festivals.
She joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and conductor Andrew Davis on Saturday, July 16 at the Ravinia Festival, the ensemble’s summer home, to present her acclaimed interpretation of Elgar’s Cello Concerto. Next, Alisa appears at the Grant Park Music Festival, performing Golijov’s Azul on Wednesday, July 20 with the Grant Park Orchestra under the direction of Marin Alsop. On Sunday, July 31, she then joins violinist Noah Bendix-Balgley at the Aspen Music Festival for the Brahms Double Concerto in A Minor with the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra and Tomáš Netopil.
