This February, Alisa Weilerstein travels to Michigan, where she joins the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and John Storgårds in performing Samuel Barber’s technically demanding yet intensely lyrical Cello Concerto. The concert also features Beethoven’s beloved Symphony no. 6 “Pastoral,” as well as Outi Tarkiainen’s recent work Midnight Sun.
