Concerts with Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra; Kennedy Center SHIFT Festival
This April, Alisa Weilerstein returns for several U.S. dates with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
On April 5, 6 & 11, Alisa highlights the Cello Concerto by Witold Lutosławski in the orchestra’s hometown. Music director Krzysztof Urbański conducts.
Then, on April 13, Alisa and the orchestra make their way to Washington, DC to perform as a part of the Kennedy Center’s SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras. Their Polish-focused program, curated by Urbański, hears Lutosławski, as well as Penderecki’s Credo which features the Indianapolis Symphonic and Children’s Choir.
