This October and November, Alisa Weilerstein joins forces with friend and collaborator Inon Barnatan for recitals in Europe and the US. Together, they highlight works by Brahms, Shostakovich, and Beethoven.

On October 28, Alisa and Inon appear at Wigmore Hall, performing Brahms’s Cello Sonata Op. 78 (transcription of Violin Sonata No. 1 in G, Op. 78) and Songs (arr. Alisa Weilerstein/Inon Barnatan), and Shostakovich’s Cello Sonata in D minor and Viola Sonata (arr. Daniil Shafran for cello and piano).

In Europe, they also appear at the Conservatorio di Milano on October 30, and the Het Concertgebouw on November 3.

Back in the States, Alisa and Inon appear at Chamber Music Cincinnati (November 7), where they perform the complete Beethoven cello sonatas. They perform at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts on November 10. They reunite in spring 2020 for additional US recital dates in the Midwest and West Coast.
