Alisa Weilerstein’s January/February 2026 Highlights


To kick off the year, Alisa will perform Shostakovich’s First Cello Concerto with the Palm Beach Symphony (Jan 13). In Europe, she plays the Britten Cello Symphony with Alan Gilbert leading his own NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra (Jan 22–25) and a recital of Brahms and Prokofiev with Russian pianist Pavel Kolesnikov in Wigmore Hall (Jan 26). Alisa will then travel to Spain to perform the Lutosławski Cello Concerto with the Spanish National Orchestra under the baton of Krzysztof Urbański (Jan 30–Feb 1)

She returns to the Detroit Symphony for performances of Joan Tower’s A New Day, a piece co-commissioned by the orchestra, conducted by Music Director Jader Bignamini (Feb 13–15).

Performing for the 2020 Virtual CelloBello Gala


On October 11, Alisa Weilerstein presents an exclusive performance for the 2020 Virtual CelloBello Gala. Joining the program as a featured artist, Alisa performs alongside Yo-Yo Ma, Mischa Maisky, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and Pieter Wispelwey. The gala will be streamed at 3pm ET on October 11. Upcoming Performances in Berlin


From September 24 through September 27, Alisa Weilerstein joins the NDR Elbphilharmonie and conductor Alan Gilbert for a series of concerts. On September 24, the Elbphilharmonie pairs Beethoven’s beloved Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” with Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations in two concerts at 6:30pm and 9pm CEST.  Alisa performs the program again on September 27 at 10:30am and
