Summer Highlights: Chamber Music, Bach, and Tour with Payare


This summer, Alisa performs in numerous chamber and orchestral settings across the U.S. and Europe, beginning with duo recitals with her longtime friend and collaborator, pianist Inon Barnatan. Multiple programs focusing on transcriptions of works by Brahms and Shostakovich, as well as repertoire from their acclaimed albums together, are featured at the Ravinia Festival (June 7), the Minnesota Beethoven Festival (July 7), and the Aspen Music Festival and School (July 9).

June Performances in Germany & the UK


This June, Alisa Weilerstein performs across Germany and the UK.

On June 2, Alisa first performs in her city of Berlin, playing Shostakovich’s First Cello Concerto with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and conductor Tomáš Hanus. She then presents the composer’s Second Cello Concerto on June 13, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Ilan Volkov.

Concerts with Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra; Kennedy Center SHIFT Festival


This April, Alisa Weilerstein returns for several U.S. dates with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

On April 5, 6 & 11, Alisa highlights the Cello Concerto by Witold Lutosławski in the orchestra’s hometown. Music director Krzysztof Urbański conducts.

Then, on April 13, Alisa and the orchestra make their way to Washington, DC to perform as a part of the Kennedy Center’s SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras.
