Dzonot Concerto with Rafael Payare and the San Diego Symphony, and FRAGMENTS in Germany


To end the season, Alisa reprises Gabriela Ortiz’s Dzonot  concerto for the second time this spring with Rafael Payare conducting the San Diego Symphony (May 9–10).

Premiered with Gustavo Dudamel leading the Los Angeles Philharmonic in fall of 2024, was released last summer on the composer’s GRAMMY-winning album Yanga, when Gramophone reported: “Weilerstein and the Los Angelenos play Dzonot with such conviction and technical mastery that I did a double take when I read in the booklet that this recording is taken from the premiere performances.”

Concerts with Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra; Kennedy Center SHIFT Festival


This April, Alisa Weilerstein returns for several U.S. dates with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

On April 5, 6 & 11, Alisa highlights the Cello Concerto by Witold Lutosławski in the orchestra’s hometown. Music director Krzysztof Urbański conducts.

Then, on April 13, Alisa and the orchestra make their way to Washington, DC to perform as a part of the Kennedy Center’s SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras.

Alisa Weilerstein joins Alan Gilbert and Cleveland Orchestra


From March 15-18, 2018, Alisa Weilerstein appears as featured soloist as a part of the Cleveland Orchestra’s Centennial Season.

For the performances, Alisa and the orchestra perform Barber’s Cello Concerto, which she describes as “a very emotional piece…with fireworks and aching lyricism.” Together, they play under the baton of Alan Gilbert, Alisa’s friend and past collaborator.
