Following a European recital tour with Barnatan, Alisa Weilerstein launches her U.S. season together with her parents, violinist Donald Weilerstein and pianist Vivian Hornik Weilerstein, when the group performs as the Weilerstein Trio on November 23 as part of their artist residency at New England Conservatory. They present a second performance at New York’s Juilliard School on December 8. Both evenings feature a program that includes Schumann’s Trio for Piano and Strings No. 1 in D minor and Shostakovich’s Suite of Romances, Op. 127 with soprano Erica Petrocelli.
