Performances with Shanghai Symphony in China, the US, and Europe this summer

This summer, Alisa Weilerstein reprises the Dvořák concerto in her debut with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.

On July 15, Alisa joins the orchestra, which celebrates its 140th anniversary this season, and Music Director Long Yu for the closing night of the annual Shanghai MISA (Music in the Summer Air) Festival.

In August, they embark on a three-city, two-continent tour, traveling to the Wolf Trap Festival in Virginia (Aug 14), the Ravinia Festival in Illinois (Aug 16), and Scotland’s Edinburgh Festival (Aug 19).

Her 2014 Decca recording of Dvořák’s concerto with the late Jirí Belohlávek and the Czech Philharmonic was distinguished by a “take-no-prisoners emotional investment that is evident in every bar” (The New York Times). You can listen to her album here.
