Performing Elgar with the London Symphony Orchestra

This December, Alisa Weilerstein joins the London Symphony Orchestra and François-Xavier Roth for her final performance of 2019 to perform Elgar’s lyrical and passionate Cello Concerto.

In a performance that marks 100 years since the concerto’s premiere with the LSO, on December 19, Alisa spotlights the work with the orchestra at the Barbican Hall.

The evening also hears the world premiere of Sophya Polevaya’s Spellbound Tableaux, along with Bartók’s Miraculous Mandarin.
