Performing with La Jolla Summer Festival

This August, Alisa Weilerstein returns to the La Jolla Music Society to perform in a series of live-streamed concerts for the annual SummerFest. Curated by Alisa’s longtime collaborator, pianist Inon Barnatan, the 2020 program kicks off on August 21 with a concert featuring Ives’ The Unanswered Question and Schubert’s String Quartet in C major.

Later, on August 23, Alisa joins Barnatan and violinist Yura Lee for Beethoven’s Cello Sonata and Mendelssohn’s 1st Piano Trio. The penultimate concert features Alisa’s performance of Kodaly’s Solo Sonata for Cello, as well as the chamber music of Mozart and Suk performed by Inon Barnatan, James Ehnes, Clive Greensmith, Tessa Lark, and Yura Lee (August 28). On August 29, Alisa joins the SummerFest Finale,  performing Schubert’s beloved Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667, Op. 114 “Trout” as part of program of Bach, Prokofiev, and Schubert.
